Now, I am absolutely no guru when it comes to Hockey, nor do I have an extensive knowledge of the sport itself nor its rules. However, back in 2016 when T-Mobile Arena opened up here in Vegas and the Las Vegas Golden Knights were announced as the newest expansion team in the NHL, I was curious about how successful this team would prove to be. 2017=18 was the Golden Knight’s first ever season, and 2017-18 was also their first trip to the Stanley Cup Finals losing in 5 against the Washington Capitals in 5 games for their first title ever in their almost 50 year history. Las Vegas in their 6 seasons in the NHL now have 2 trips to the Stanley Cup Finals, no team this recently new has had this success in any pro sport, besides LAFC in the MLS.

Vegas did not let up this game, possession was key as Dallas had huge gaps in their defense. They shot and shot and shot, and by the end of the first period, the Golden Knights were up by 3-0 despite the Stars’ great efforts these last 2 games. Second period Vegas added another making it a 4 goal deficit, and as the third and final period started, Dallas’ chances looked very slim. a 6-0 bashing with the Golden Knights’ Goalie, Adin Hill, proving vital as he had 23 huge saves to keep the Stars scoreless, while William Karlson proved to be the MVP of the squad as he nabbed himself 2 goals (one from a power play), and an assist leading the Las Vegas Golden Knights to a cruise past the Dallas Stars, and now into Florida Panthers. Vegas starts with home advantage, but we have seen this story before as Vegas had lost against the underdog in Washington all those years back, but 5 years later Vegas looks to add their first to an already amazing franchise history, and bringing more gold to Vegas, establishing this city as a sports dynasty, the NHL Finals awaits us and the Golden Knights go marching in with something to prove.
